Anybody know what the plastic jug in front of the radiator core support, drivers side is for? Maybe headlight washer system but I don't see the brushes on the light bulbs. It looks to me to be the overflow bottle for the radiator. No 71 I've ever seen had one other than the homemade pop bottle type. If they stated putting them in late in the production year it would seem odd that they would produce that one for a short period as opposed to using the '72 one. IDK?

By chance, did the 71's just have a hose that ran down the side of the radiator and just released any overflow into the street?

I like Miatas. Just don't plan to restore one. If I were going to restore a sports car, I'd get something British.
No right or wrong answer here...everyone will draw that line someplace different. Stealth and Conquest, while Mopars by family relation, came right off the boat from Japan, and are not cars that would interest me personally. The DiamondStar cars were built in Illinois, and have a little more claim to being a true "global" car. The Challenger, like the Stealth and Conquest, came right off the boat. But I do like them strangely. Almost bought one at a swap meet as my son's first car.

I could go for a Lotus Esprit. Not sure I want to restore anything British though!
