I've got the handle out of my 72 Rallye, and I want to send it out to be re-chromed, except I can't fugure our how to get the bezel with the shift pattern off of the handle. Do I have to bust the lense to get to a screw or nut or pin? It's a little loose already, but shows no signs of comming off without a fight.
Anybody know what's under that lense?

They didn't bust it to get it in so I'm doubting you would need to bust it to take it out. I ran out to the garage to take some pics for you but mine is stuffed under a pile in the attic and I can't get at it right now. Post some pics of what you have, maybe that will refresh my memory some. My guess without looking is that the handle itself will come off and the bezel will slide right over.

The main handle attatches through a square hole in the bezel and is then peened over to hold it together. Pretty much caveman technology. Sorry, no pics handy.
