Push Carts...in the hot...but mostly in the cold Honest job for honest pay. Most 17 year olds won't work because there parents are enablers. Good for you. I hope it's not golf carts. Poor James....he wasn't born to parents wealthy enough to be enablers! No golf carts, just grocery carts, big, small, and the flat utility carts. No more than 10 at a time per the Health and Safety folks for the company. And none of those fancy electric cart pushing machines. They do get to ride the handicapped electric carts back into the store. I think he's said he'd rather push a row of grocery carts.

Started working at a machine shop on November 7, 1978 as the kid sweeping the floor etc. Was a Police officer for 5 years in the 80's but still worked part time at the same machine shop. Decided the cop thing wasn't for me, (I don't kiss A** well), went back to the shop full time. Been the owner of that same shop for 8 years now.

My day job is something that I've been informed that I should keep.

I am now an hourly employee for the company we started earlier this year and put in my wifes name. This arrangement will allow the company to pay for my health insurance, when my current coverage ends. I get a weekly paycheck....sign it...and hand it back to her. Once, she gave me $200 back.

The only way I could work a 13 hour day at my age is if I could take a 5 hour nap half way through. For me, that is the beauty of self-employment. Most days, about 2PM, I do take a nap.
