maybe somethings wrong with the transmission indicator??? i dont know anything about transmissions. park works, neutral works, then when i put it on D its still in neutral, 2 works maybe its drive instead of 2, and then 1 will engine brake..... i dont know whats going on with it . its a 3 speed by the way

does reverse work?? mine did that and it ended up needing rebuilt.

the reverse does work but it feels a little weak...... dont know what that means

it may also be a linkage issue, i'm not no expert on these trannys but if you want someone or is, go to dodgecharger.com, sign-up(if you haven't already) then search for a member by the username of RD. He is basically the resident expert on anything mopar mechanical wise any way.

Follow the linkage from the column to the trans. Mine had the same problem and it turns out that a Texas license plate and zip ties are part of my linkage.
