OK! I'm here to save the day!! Where should I set up my amp??? Quick joke: So this bass player dies & finds himself 2nd in line at the Pearly Gates. First in line is Billy Graham. (yeah - this happens in the future) St Pete says go right in Mr Graham. St Pete asks the bass player why he should be let into heaven. The bass player responds, "I've soothed troubled souls & helped them to forget their troubles & be happy." St Pete says, "You can load in through the kitchen round back!" Back to door hinges. I get the impression that the later hinges have fewer parts, fewer servicability issues & might even be lighter too This will be my choice then! Hmmm, a 78 MoPar in a junkyard around here Fortunately, I only have a little slop in the driver's door at the moment. I have time to see what comes along. Thanks for the tips! Nacho, Do you remember what your pin diameter is & what the bushings are called at the hardware store? Hey, those 73 to 78 parts need servicing too.

Nacho, Do you remember what your pin diameter is & what the bushings are called at the hardware store? Hey, those 73 to 78 parts need servicing too. I just went to a hardware stoe what sells ALL KIND OF BOLTS NUTS AND RELATED. They have visible every stuff they sell on shop. Just went and bouth the closer pin I found and the matching bushing to the pin. once hole was drilled to insert the bushing, inserted the pin, was long enough to cut and match the lenght, then a welding point since originals are pressed I think all pins I found were same diameter. the ones I found were listed as CHEVY doors. Needed to mill down a little bit the hinge parts to be able to fit the bushing since the shape they have, kinda a hat, fits a lip on outer side what makes imposible to fit without mill the same thick of bushing lip. would love to find the rollers. My driver side are worn since got stuck inm the past and then spring got damaged then. Spring got worn too, but is easier to fix, just a filling with welding point and then re-shape it.

NACHO: Are the rollers available as NOS, or as Reproductions? If not, (and if nobody else knows where to get them), send me one for your car year (I lose track if it's a 73 or 74), or maybe some one else has a used discarded one they can send to me.
We have a store here that has every kind of fastener, roller, bearing, bushing, pin, washer, nut, bolt (you name it) known to man, made out of all materials: steel, copper, nylon, rubber, plastic, alloys...again, you name it, they probably have it.
The store is huge....if they don't have it, it probably isn't made.
