Later this week my son and I will hit the road again. Heading out to do some more junkyarding in AL, TN, and KY. Last time we went, we got soaked in hard rain while in AL and Tenn and it was 20-30 degrees in KY. Looks like it will be 90-95 degrees this time. The A/C in my truck went out last week but I fixed it. No way was I about to do this 1000 mile trip without air.

I should just start a section for you Tom on your junk yard adventures But for now, I think these are good in the general topic section ;D

I thought of that but did not know if he would be offended. Seems like you have a great son there Tom. Congrats.

My wife does call me Fred Sanford sometimes. However, my son has not seemed very amused when addressed as "Lamont" or " ya big dummy"

Sure wish the weather would cool down a few degrees. We went junking here in ATL on Sunday morning. Got there at 8:30, had to bust out the Powerade by 9:30. In the summer, the wheel barrow that my son gets to push grows rather heavy. Its full of tools and a cooler of drinks on ice. My wheel barrow gets all the parts......When the parts wheel barrow gets heavier than the one with the tools....I sometimes used to "accidently" grab the wrong one. but he realized what I was doing... The son has really learned well. A great help and good company. ......Now if I could just get him trained on pulling the whole dash out of a 71-74 b body in 20 minutes..... And to be fair......my 14 YO daughter went junking with me for the first time a couple weeks ago. As is the norm.....she initially protested loudly about going.....but ended up enjoying herself. Did not pull any parts , but did push the wheel barrow about 1/2 of the time. Told me last night that she wanted to go on a road trip with me this summer. We have not been on a good road trip since we went to Texas for a pair of 72 fenders!
