AZ Nick on DC.com apparently provides a good service. he offers them quite often on ebay. I have a bussines card from somebody at Carlisle what did look make a good job on rebuilding job... will search and post the info Nick sells the Ultimate Ride pads and they are nice! I think he does group buys from time to time. Vaseline is the best bet for bringing back an old pad. NEVER use Armor-All. It will pull all the oil out of the vinyl and make the pad crack unless the Armor-All is re-applied weekly for life. It's like crack for your dash. Get it? Dash Crack! hahahahaha Q, that is exactly why Armor all has never touched a vehicle I've owned. It's really bad stuff to use in AZ. I've seen 3 yr old cars with crack dashes because that was all they used.

..Get it? Dash Crack! hahahahaha ... Yeah, I get it. (Apropos of nothing whatsoever, Steve....do you smoke a pipe?) No sir, just long fill cigars. (Those are the hand-rolled variety. I like the ones from Nicaragua, Honduras and Cooba.) No pipes of any kind in many years. Certain herbs really upset my athsma. #eek4#

How often should this be reapplied? thanks! KK

Just purchased a new Dash Pad from ABC Motorsports, very pleased with it US$449. If you go to the website you will see "This item is out of stock" got the last one . abcmoparts.com/products/1971-1972-1973-74-dodge-charger-plymouth-road-runner-b-body-dash-pad-steel-core-newTook me a couple of weeks to pull the trigger but figured the car deserved it. Of course being in Canada, shipping $95.80 plus the $75 core charge = US$619.80. don't want to convert to Canadian right now, lol. Delivered by UPS (not damaged for once), was well packed in plastic and bubble wrap and reinforced box edges (though one end the tape was ripped, exposing the pad) I'll ad more pics and info in my resto page when I get the chance. Asked if he had any suggestions as to what to use on the pad, I said I have some 303 kicking around and he said. "That might work but seriously we use regular lemon scent Pledge on all our pads. Spray it on , let it sit for a couple minutes and wipe it off thoroughly. U can do that whenever deemed necessary".

Looks nice. It's great to have these as an option.
I've heard lanolin is good for keeping stuff like this soft. But I've not tried it yet. I too use 303.
