This will still be a little bit down the road, but I'd like to know what I'm gonna do when that time gets here, so I don't have to sit on my a** wondering what's what and so on. Anyway, since I will be putting a black vinyl top back on this car, I need the chrome trim for the top, luckily I have all the original stuff, but condition on a couple of pieces leave a little to be desired. A guy I know localy says that the trim can be reapired, some of it has been hit by something, somehow, and has dents and scratches and such in it, I'll try and repair it first, and go from there. But the parts that can be easily replaced is what I'm asking about, like the wheel well trim pieces. In your opinion, where's the best place to go for these trim pieces? Year One has really nice stuff, but there prices are a lilttle higher than others, plus I'm in GA, so, I get to pay GA sales tax, ouch. So then there's The Paddock, I've ordered a thing or two from them in the past. But who else is there, like Bob, and other people, I want to find the lowest prices, but don't want to end up with junk that's worse than what I got now, and so on and so fourth. The peices that I know I will be replacing are these: 1: Wheel well trim 2: Door sill moldings 3: Trunk lid molding And maybe some others, like I said, this will be a little bit later, I got some other thigns I got to take care of first, then paint, top, ect....

The trunk lip molding and decent sill plates will not set you back that far. They come up often on Ebay and Tom may have some nice ones. The wheel well trim is another story. If you want show quality, you are going to pay good. Good driver/local show quality are pretty reasonable. I used all my original pieces after it was painted. Some of the wheel well moldings are rough but are there. No one notices anyway unless you want a show numbers car. Daily driver, I would not be to picky. Good Luck Bob

Metro makes the wheel opening moldings. I bit the bullet and picked up a set of new repros from them at the Mopar Southern Nats. $325, no tax. I am pretty sure that they will be at the Commerce show which is coming up. Yeah, thats a bit pricey...but before they were available, NOS sets were selling on Ebay for $800-$900.

Thanks all for the replies. I'll lay my trip out one moer time, most of it had been taken off and laid in the trunk, I'm kind of glad that it was b/c it kept it out of the weather, but the guy could have atleast covered the car up rather than leave it out in the weather for as long as it sat out, guess I can't complain though.... We want worry why, lets just say I'm trying to get some kind of a post to put my overhead roof up. The pieces of sheet metal that forms the rough is about 15 foot or so long, I hauled it back to my house in the back of my S10, and it stuck out the back about 10 foot or so..... Glad I had a red flag to hang on the metal....
