I went looking for my mirrors and yes there is two holes in the mirrior mounting plate behind the glass. Bad news is good luck tring to remove the glass with-out breaking it. You might want to try a heat gun to loosen the glue, but I would just buy a good offset screw drive and a can of penertrating oil

Well I would try the heat gun. If you look at my mirror on the left hole you can see the sticky glue in the upper right corner(there's a joke in there some were )can try pulling it off gently. If that don't work then I would go with Doctor Jer method to save the patient . To let you know also, I got quoted $95 a mirror per side to re chrome and $50 per door handle. There a new products to fill in the pits on white cast (pot metal) to re chrome the pieces

Perhaps (if you keep the heat rise on your mirror glass constant across the entire surface) the heat gun will work. Dunno. I do know that it is easy to make a piece of glass that hasn't been tempered shatter by applying heat in 1 spot too long. I also know how to break both front & rear windows while trying to remove them. I'm just full of useless info huh

Just a quick update, and a link to an Ebay listing I stumbled across. If you do go with the "Doctor Jer" bust-em out method, this seller is selling "computer cut" replacement mirror glass in sets of two.. cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&viewitem=&item=270091705185The only couple of problems with this seller is that he does not accept PayPal, which means the personal check-10 day wait ordeal, or (I think) he accepts money orders... Oh, and his communications with are very, very brief, as in "I'll check", when I emailed an inquiry on his receiving my check yet...that was his entire response..."I'll check."...no invite to dinner, or "how's the kids" or nuttin'!!
