How do I remove the tail light bezels. I can take off the lenses but can't figure out how the bezel is held in. I have better bezels on my 74 and want to swap them with the ones on my 73.

I suppose you mean tail light housings. To change those, you have to pull off the rear bumper.

well, really there is room to remove them without remove the bumper assembly... is some tricky to the top retainer but possible
housings have 3 tabs that matches with some holes on bumper, one on top and two on bottom. Down the bumper you can see them easily. top one is the hard one

..........and if you do it with the bumper on the car, you more than likely bust off one or more of the tail light housing mounting tabs. The best and easiest way to do it is with the bumper off of the car.

Dan, Look under the trunk carpet and you will see where the taillight wires connect. Disconect them and push the rubber bushings through the car. Remove the 6 bolts and 2 nuts. Be carefull, they break off. Carefully remove the bumber and watch the light wireing. It's really pretty easy. Just do the reverse putting it back in. The rubber grommets pop back in pretty easy. If they are a little tough use some dish washing liquid on them and they will pop right back in. Have a couple saw horses or something ready to put the bumper on.

I have made it !!! without broke!!!, well, first time they were already broken... but is a fact everytime I want to touch up the housing finish I remove them without remove bumper, just remove license plate assembly. Originally my housings were attached with plastic clips, dunno how it was up there, now I mounted a fastener on tab and fit with screw. Thanks, I just have one more question. those 4 bolts in the trunk, do they go to the bumper. 6 bolts 2 nuts with stud to be exact. Of course be sure you unplugg rear harness, remove sidemarker sockets, remove ground bolts and spread up the wires clips/straps on body on back of license plate area before rmove bumper

License plate assembly $10-$15, tail light housings $50-$100, sidemarkers maybe $5 for a pair.
