...I think Jer could help better on that because he has one SE with those still on place... To get back to the original topic, (where the 72 emblems and badges go), Nacho, I finally got around to knocking some of the plastic filler (Bondo--see last pic of "chunks") off of the sail panels. I circled the two holes for the Charger script and the 2 holes for the SE Wreath Medallion...if anyone needs measurements (like up from the body line or back from the window, or both), let me know: Three guesses where the full window would be if it weren't an SE! And yes, the shiny stuff is Lead...it's under the Bondo from the window back to the filler plug seam (and for some reason at the very back of the roof seam). But now I'm kinda getting into Paint, Body, and Trim, and not 72 emblems placement (especially with that 3rd pic), so I better quit while I'm ahead!! ~Jer~

More questions on the 74 emblems. On a 74 coupe, non-Ralleye, exactly where on the door do the emblems go? Mine did not have the arrow. Also, where does the "dodge" hood emblem go? Was there a dodge emblem on the bulge hood? I believe there was not, but just checking. Anyone have any pics? Thanks again. HIGHJACK ALERT ;D DODGE on hood, at the very front and left ( driver ) corner of hood. both bulged and standart. pics are all around Charger on door... same placement more less. Sorry I don't have measures

NACHO: The chunks I've taken off so far are definitely plastic filler...whether its the actual brand name of Bondo or not, I don't know.(It COULD be fiberglass filler, but you get the idea.) It looks just like old Bondo, to me. I can't really tell yet, but it looks like the actual plug/patch is some kind of sheet metal, with Bondo (plastic filler) over it, and there was a "skin" of it over the lead that I've found so far. I will start a thread on the whole thing when I can definitely verify the whole story and have pics of all the lead on it. Just think, all those years of driving my first 72 SE around, and I had no idea how much lead and junk I was carrying around under that vinyl top! Jer.

I know the seams were filled with bondo... BUT THAT MUCH ? wow! and I thought plug fillers were plastic or fiberglass. As far I know 73/74s are plastic or kinda. Ok, stop the HIGHJAAAACK!

I have a picture of my fathers 72 SE that was taken in 1975 that shows the Charger emblem on the tops of the front fenders.

I know the seams were filled with bondo... BUT THAT MUCH ? wow! Wow....I can see the factory laying a little filler in, but that's a THICK coat. Beyond the thickness you are supposed to use, as I understand it.
