used High temp aluminium can paint, used to headers and exhaust. I have heard that kind of paint sticks on better any metal, without primer... beside that, I assure you, inside housing gets hot. ( not that hot to really worry about chip off LOL ) beside that, also resist better enviroment conditions, like water inside, wet/humidity, in case gasket doesn't seat that good.
would love argent, but didn't found, so this color is a little bit darker.
Gasket provided by firestone collectibles is not thicker enough and did need some mods too, some cuts

yeah, needs to be cut on screws holes. They made eyelet kind and they are just plain curved to pass on a side of screws.
I'm thinking on replace the gasket making it by myself. That material is easy to find on art material shops

That's some GREAT info, Nacho:
Maybe you should copy that last post into Technical Archives under the heading "Modifying Lens Gaskets".
What do you think, Tom?

Where does it say "Critical Technical Archives"? My interpretation of "technical expert" is anyone who exhibits an amount of expertise on ANY (Charger) mechanical process, procedure, function or operation that is greater than the knowledge of the average person. ;D I promise you (or I) will not be the last person(s) to install an aftermarket Firestone Collectible gasket on their front parking light assemblies, and when they get ready to do it... PRESTO....they go to the Technical Archives section to see if there is anything related to the procedure in that section. (After all, is that not the reason Pete set up the section?) You've done it, Nacho...you encountered the problems, you adapted, you improvised, you overcame them.... That's all I'm saying, buddy! ;D [and this post is what is known as: Waxing Philosophical] ~Jer the Bear~
