im trying to compile a list of parts i need to make a Hyperpak out of my 225 slant 6. i dont think i want to do the 4barrel carb tho, since this is my daily driver an i dont wanna kill my mileage. so im thinkin bout a 2barrel. so what 2barrel (or 4 if its decent) carb would you guys recommend? i want a good power boost but i dont want my mileage to suffer. if anyone knows of a 4barrel that does well on gas please tell me.
also, my buddy drives a 73 240z an he has webers on it. it takes only a few seconds for it 2 be ready for the road. so if anyone could find a carb that does all the above mentiond things and warm up quickly id appreciate it
Tahnks guy! youve been a huge help on my car!

I don't have a specific 2bbl. recommendation. A properly tuned 4bbl. can deliver mpg #s just as good as a 2bbl., IF YOU KEEP YOUR FOOT OUT OF IT! That's a discipline issue, not a carb issue. And no, I don't always have that kind of discipline either. My brothers had a Holley 390 on it. Once tuned right, it ran quite well. But he did a lot of work to get it there...many jet changes, power valves, etc. Also, as he ran Clifford headers on his, there was no exhaust heat for the intake, which effects cold weather driveability. Also, it's a conversion to an electric choke for the same reason, and that requires some adjusting to make right also. Lastly, he ran an aftermarket air cleaner, which when combined with the lack of exhaust manifold/heat stove, added to cold driveability issues. Basically, you had to let the car warm up a little before driving it. There used to be kits to add a heat stove to to a tube header...I suppose there still are.
