cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayIS....RK%3AMEWNX%3AITHere is a link to my Ebay "prize"...or at least I think I did very well. Its a 74 originally a 400 Magnum 4 speed posi trac car and I have not done all the numbers yet to check the options. It has a 71 440 and 727 now. I drove the 100 miles to Denver and checked it out the day before it ended and the body / frame is very solid. lots of primer with some minor bondo to cover lil dingers. The 440 starts and sounds good and appears to be close to stock, cam wise anyway. I think a steal at $3000 for a BB car that needs minor work, paint and interior. Wheres my manners, Hi, I am Gary Herren. A little about me....been a Mopar man my whole life, got it from my old man. My first car was, another 74 Charger...whats the odds huh. Anyway, also had a 68 Charger RT 383/4 spd and lots of the lil turbo Chargers and Daytona's. I still own a 87 Shelby that I bought new, well hopped up with Forward Motion parts. I did 21 years in the Air Force, all working on the big nuclear missiles(Minuteman 2, 3, and Peacekeepers) and now do special testing on them as a General Dynamics engineer. That is where I get my " Nuke Em" board name, (Laughing Out Loud). I have been married to my high school girl friend for...20 something years(since 88). I have 3 kids and the oldest has been in the Air Force for 9 months now. Glad to be here and hope I can contribute to the board! Gary sorry posted this in the wrong section earlier...

Thanks Jer! I am sure I will have lots of questions later. It is winter here in the Rocky Mountains (Wyoming) so the body work will have to wait a little while. I will give the engine a good going through as soon as I can and will probably have some jetting issues at 6000 ft elevation.
My "early" overall plan is to work the body and interior this year. It was sanded and primed several times, but that happened about 8-10 years back. I want to install hidden headlights(just like everyone else) but I need to scour some of the old junk yards for parts. I need to figure out what parts need replacing in the interior, I may go with seats from something else.
Next year, my job moves me to Minot North Dakota for a year where I have lots of time off and access to the base auto hobby shop for 2 bucks an hour with every tool known to man...almost, lol. I will build another 440 engine from the ground up. I will have 5-6k to spend on it so maybe a roots style blower and beefed tranny/rear end?
I do not have any real experience with big blocks or high HP engines so I will be picking your guys brains for the best combination s. I want the Prostreet look...especially when the original engine and tranny are missing. If I go through the hood, I do not want to cut a bulge hood so I need a flat hood too.
I will post lots of pictures soon, Gary
