I didn't forget about the odometer, it just didn't seem important!! Who cares that it is in miles...IF Nacho ever sells it (and that's a HUGE "if"), he can tell the buyer to multiply the odometer reading by 1.6093, or whatever the factor is...I'm sure it won't be the 1st car sold in Venezuela with a "miles" odometer vs. a kilometer one. Nacho, I would think the important thing (at least to me) would be able to read how fast you're going in kilometers per hour, wouldn't it? How many times does anyone actually ever really look at an odometer except when they're selling or buying a car? [If you absolutely HAVE to know how many kilometers or miles have elapsed since Point A, on the way to Point B...get yourself one of those talking RoadMate 3000 Gizmos like Robin Williams had in the movie "RV"...what was her name?....Lola?] Just be sure to get a "Bilingual Lola" that speaks in miles and kilos!!

Al car brands have assembly plant here OR direct dealer importation. Maybe some private importer could get his car in miles. Not BIIIG deal read in miles, juts that IF I CAN GET IT IN KILO will be better. I understand miles too and just add 60% on scale reading. Also because someday will move to Spain ( yeah right, five years telling this and still nothing ), is better get it in kilo. aaand dunno what the hell you talk about Robin williams movie LOL

Nacho, too bad the gears from the standard cluster speedo won't work. What is the difference between the MPH 7 KPH odometers? Each wheel still reads 1 - 10 don't they?!

Nacho, too bad the gears from the standard cluster speedo won't work. What is the difference between the MPH 7 KPH odometers? Each wheel still reads 1 - 10 don't they?! yes, but internal gears ratio is diff to turn 60% quicker on Kilo digits are the same auto instruments got me a quote to make the conversion and as far I remember was sooo priced that I simply forgett. I saved this pic from an USA ebay auction selling a blue 71 R/T making for export to switzerland. Dunno remmeber if in auction was stated car never got to be shipped or car came back to USA and being sold in USA. here is a pic from a local Special Edition Coronet, only half of year production down here ( 74 ) with this cluster and 400 4 bbls VERY RARE... not even Chargers were with rally cluster I offered to change speedos, but he didn't want. Is an old taxy cab driver.... the worst is told me doesn't work... I bet was just the speedo wire.

Time to start reassembling. I used a small punch to stake the 2 cage parts back together & used a needle nose to straiten the bent shaft. But what should be used to replace the highbeam indicator? This 1 isn't so far gone that light won't shine through - unlike the others. Needs to be something red that light can shine through... A lid from a ChefBoyArdee microwavable or flagging tape? First things first. That old rust has got to go. A solution of water with 10% pancake suryp should do the trick in a week or so!

Those Coronets sound like cool cars Nacho Molasis is what makes the pancake suryp fight rust - turns out the suryp I used didn't actually have molasys in it. Doh Now with molasis after a few days It's slow, but it works

How come I've never heard of this before, Cajun Man...and I AM the original Jerry-Rigger/Poor-Boy-It Man...Are you certain that isn't just an old (Cajun) wife's tale? Eagerly awaiting your reply, here, Mr. Brockwood... #PopCorn# #PopCorn# (I suspect you're pulling Multiple Legs Simultaneously...(and at the same time, too!)
