Seriously, there's a new "version" of Proboards "just around the corner", which may or may not be a good thing. I wasn't going to upgrade to it (it's an option, not mandatory), but since you guys are all having trouble, I'll have to reconsider. I just don't understand how come now is when those with Firefox are just now experiencing difficulties...the fact that I have done absolutely NOTHING in regards to changing the Proboards format or function--something I CAN'T do anyway--tells me that Firefox is the culprit here...Proboards nor I have made any changes!! The fact that Dyno doesn't have any issues with Firefox v.16, but only with 17 and 18 tends to lead credence to my argument.I'll contact Proboards, meanwhile, you guys that are experiencing issues with a Firefox browser might try to contact Firefox (or a Firefox forum), and see if there's something that can be done on your end: I.e.: messing with your add-ons or plugins, or whatever. It's the least you can do on your end, since I believe it's a Firefox issue...but as I said, I will continue to see if there's something Proboards can do to "accommodate" Firefox's new version(s). I'm thinking they're going to tell me to pee up a rope, since they are soon going to release their new version of Proboards, but we'll see.

I'm seeing the same problem with the Opera browser on my tablet...
Webpages download JavaScript to the client browser. The code gets executed by the browser which makes it appear to be a browser problem until you trace the actual offending code to a file which was downloaded from the website. The browsers all include an engine to run these JavaScript files. My theory, emphasis on the theory, is that it is this engine that has changed. Newer versions seem to have changed how they react to an index reference that isn't valid. So that's how a newer brower can cause these type of issues without Jer having touched anything. I believe you Jer!
I've probably glazed over everyones eyeballs so I'll quit while I'm behind...

I think I actually understood most of that Tim....and here I thought you were just another pretty face!!.... If I read you right, the "engine" in the new (i.e. firefox upgrade) browser could have been changed enough to where its "reaction" to index references (Java filescripts) from this forum is different than it was with the older Firefox?....or am I all screwed up. Incidentally, that Proboards support thread link from Dave makes it obvious that it "ain't just happening" here....I had already discovered that particular thread, and thanks, Dave.

I think you have the jest of it. I'm seeing the issue in FireFox, Opera and Chrome. I suspect all of these browsers may share the same js (JavaScript) engine. Looking at the other threads, I'm becoming more convinced this is a Proboards problem. Their developers need to check their array coding. With what I know about how the BBS's work, I could even take a pretty good guess where in their code the problem is.

Well this takes all the fun out of it. It's MUCH more fun to whine to Jer to fix his forum than to post on some anonymous Firefox or Proboards complaint board.
