Always a good look. #2Thumbs# Not anymore good look. Red finish turned on a black finish. Red enamel coat I sprayed got burnt and wrinkled. :/ Before mount the tips I noticed all red areas were not more than a red primer, so I decided to paint with engine enamel. Obviouslly the engine enamel didn't hold the heat, but I don't think the primer was to hold the heat either. Soooooo will need to remove and refinish

Been busy this winter, ordered an close to stock air cleaner for the 1974 360 4bbl. I am in the process of refurbishing it. The guys that prepared my car for the market cut many many corners. In addition to deleting this ugly chrome dress-up kit I have had to replace the dash cap. FYI if your doing a dash cap the fewer places of adheasion to the original dash the better. These guys glued down this sucker tight on either side of a huge crack in the dash, surprise surprise the dash cap cracked in the same place. Other than this I've done, replaced the alternator, carb, Steering gear box (auto), kick-down lever, door pull, emblems, console door, plastic backing plate on drivers seat, and pulled small dents as needed (mostly created by my hyper active movements around the garage.) Next up chrome wheel opening trim.

so been busy again just about have the frontend rebuilt as well as the front brakes. as soon as that is over the 8.75 rear end goes in with out the iso clamps also installed solid bushings on the front clip, kinda interested to see how the work out. the doors are in final primer and lazer straight. seats get recovered this week oh yeah also have a 72-73 340 air cleaner on the way not correct for my car but i like the look of them and the little flapper in the bottom is cool. only thing to decide now for the engine stuff is keep my hedders or go with manifolds. i am making this one more of a cruiser so i may go with the manifolds just donèt feel good about giving up power and torque as well as adding weight. one day i will get my but in gear and post some pics!

ordered the complete tti dual exhaust system for tips and picked up some correct manifolds at the same time. also bought a 150 speedo and ordered a repro tach and harness for the dash I was all over the place about keeping the clock but in the end I really wanted to have a tach so what the heck!

looking for everything like a big treasure hunt. I just sold a 73 gold duster and started this 72 charger project. It will be a 440 with 727, lime green with a black vinyl top. Everything is apart and getting ready for paint. There was a couple areas in the trunk that needed patches about 6 inches square each. Now the driver lower rear 1/4 is cut out and ready for a repop patch panel to be welded in. The problem was a newspaper got stuck in the lower panel and rusted it from the inside out. Most everywhere else is good the car was undercoated and is a CA. car. I'm looking for a fiberglass hood and trunk and a radiator. Also some tail lights that are better than what I have ( the stock ones.) Can't wait to hear it run!! imageshack.us/photo/my-images/841/camerazoomcamerazoom201.jpg/
