Decided to change the passenger side exhaust manifold gasket after Church today. Of course only the front 2 nuts came off and the rear nut and studs came completely out and there goes my antifreeze. Anyhow, thank God for the rubber access cover.

The interior is pretty much gutted out of mine now-Cordoba tilt steering column is in pieces in the garage waiting for paint . Sold a 68RFE I had on Kijiji today so I will be ordering some more Charger parts tomorrow to continue on with the project! Should be getting a box in the next week with some A/C tint 1/4 windows and rear fender trim, and another box with a builder set of R/T taillights. I greatly underestimated how much time, effort and money this was going to take-isn't that the rallying cry of the restorer? Jason

i know i still only have a few old pics up but i did paint and clear coat most of the 72 ev2 charger, the car is now orange except for the front clip which is almost ready for paint, I was up this morning at 6 am spraying the clear on her looks awsome with only one small bug landed in the clear coat which should buff out easily,,i painted the doors off the car and was able to get the jams nice,i also installed both new amd quarters on it and blocked the car five times before painting it,,the car is lazer straight and i should have the front clip painted this week,,,, the hood is ready and one fender is almost ready and now i can move the car out of the bay that i sprayed it in and set the fenders and hood up to paint the room is not big enough to paint all when it is disassembled,,,,,I have lots of pics and will soon try again to post the pics of the car,,Hopefully i will get the new vinyl top on it this week,i also removed and rebuilt my heater /a/c box and made one nice one out of two broken ones that came with the car,, ,it was nice being able to work on the heater box with no seats or doors in my way. I am relly getting excited about getting the car finished now nothing like a smooth hemi orange paintjob to get you motivated, i have my hide away grill all refinished looking awsome along with my rt tailights and am going to paint the bumpers orange when i paint the front clip,, I promise to have pics up soon of the resto. Oh yeah today was also mopar day at my local dragstrip and there were only 2 third gen chargers there out of a hundred or so bad mopars,I took my 66 fury and let my future son in law drive my 65 coronet the grin on his face as i looked a him through my rear view mirror was priceless,,he is 25 and this was the first time he had ever drove a muscle car,,,, he is hooked and when i asked him what he thought about the day he replied i wish i would have brought some sunscreen and earplugs and i think next year i would look better in that hemi orange charger!!!!!!i think he may have to get in line,,

Finally got her painted after 3 years. Here are some pics - beginning, middle, and end. The color is Sherwin Williams AWX waterborne pearl white. Now I'm undecided on the original idea of 1 thick black stripe down the middle highlighted by a thin red pinstripe. The pearl white looks good as is with nice color transitions in different shades of light. The pics don't really show it, I need to upgrade to a new phone.
