Took off the front license plate holder. I re-shaped it (hammer, wood, vise) and will strip it down. And hopefully smooth out the pits and pock marks. New 89 amp alternator arrived and on hold until winter.

Junked my chrome thermostat housing today - it's been leaking at the gasket for a while, and from what I've read the pretty chrome ones are a pain to get to seal properly. So on goes a $6 stock replacement, we'll see if I can get it to seal any better. Certainly worth a try before I spring $50 for one of those fancy o-ring ones.

Speaking of leaks, I have found that my engine is very dry and leak free. I haven't owned a mopar in over 20 years. my old chevy was a PIA. Always a battle against leaks. valve covers ,rear main seal, thermostat housing etc. $6 and a can of paint sounds good to me.

Nacho....isn't this the third time you have body and paint done on your car in the last 10 years?
