1st time back in 99
2nd time in 2005
and now.
I never have been satisfied with the body job... plus allways gets new rust bubbles at certain points, plus remember, is my driver.
lower quarter section at the quarter glass area never was done correctly with drain holes. Mostly all body guys here doesn't real understand what I want when I say RESTORE, not just fix. Lower body lines never were made correctly. Roof was begining to get BAD rust bubbles, dutchman panel was badly rusted, trunk extensions were welded a plain sheetmetal section without any shape criterial. Lot of details never done correctly like now they are being corrected. Soon more pics.

Today I got the itch to do something good bad or ugly
Found where I hide the 4 speed tranny for the R/T
Took the four speed linkage that Bob helped find for me
Found the Dog bone shifter arm that I bought form Tom
put an old shifter box on and adjusted the linkage arms
They were very close to what they were assembled on before
the hunt continues for more parts
Wish I didn't have the Model A in the garage right now the R/T would look very nice next to the SE

Went back to junk yard and cut out the console braces from the old 72 Satellite (he wanted 30 but I gave him 10 bucks) . Used my cutoff tool (love that thing) and removed all excess floor metal. Ground, sanded and painted the brackets as well as the floor plates for the seats.

It seems the warm weather has sparked some folks to get into their projects. Another heat wave like this may do it for me. 1/3 the asking price ? Not bad!

After owning the Bee for 15 years now I finally started work on the interior. Photo taken 2001, no carpet, no headliner, seats - oh well.... Last week: Had them redone by a professional using Legendary seat covers. Still have some crinkles here and there, but I hope these will disappear once it gets warmer outside.

I'm half asleep! What did you mean by "no more bumper fillers"? You still re-install the front lower valance, correct?
