Worked on my painted mirrors yesterday. Wet sanded, painted black and mounted the passenger mirror to see if I like the gloss black verses the satin. I'll give it a couple days and make my mind up.

Nice, how did you "prep" the chrome? I did some light sand blasting to pit it some, epoxy primer, then Del fleet(PPG) gloss black. Takes several days to fully cure hard but I like the high gloss finish.

Well, I finally replaced the front end and rear leaf spring bushings, replaced shocks with KYB shocks. Now, it shouldn't wander all over the place at high speeds. Yikes! I've replaced the original 11 inch drum brakes with a set of A body disc brakes. Used the spindles from a 73 Dart and bought all new components along with brake lines. I've also just purchase a new Edelbrock AVS 800 Endurashine carb from Autozone. I'd been saving up my rewards $$$ and finally pulled the trigger last Friday. Autozone had a 20% discount on line, but I couldn't apply my rewards $$$, so I went in to the local store and the guy who sees me a lot said that he could apply the 20% for my. Man was I stoked! Anyway, I plan to install the carb the following weekend and then take it in for a front end alignment. Then she'll be road worthy again! About 6 months ago I had replaced the bucket seat covers, new dash pad and new carpet set, too. She's looking fine, too.

Haven't been around these parts lately but work on my Charger has progressed ... s l o w l y ... Took it out to my guy in WV at the weekend, he's going to finish the interior for me - I don't trust myself to do it properly (or have the time, really). This was the first trip of any real length I've made in the car and it performed admirably, 100 miles of mixed driving, everything from interstate to narrow twisty stuff. More in a month or so when the interior's done

I am currently having some 71 R/T doors repaired. I bought some real crusty ones for $250 back in the spring. I cut the "louvered" sections out of them and took them to a friend a few weeks ago along with some standard 71-72 doors. He is currently sectioning in the pieces. I guess that means I will proceed with a 71 R/T clone. About all I don't have to do that, is the R/T-500 specific front/upper door panels. I will be doing that to a 72 318 car (now 360) that I bought from Jer.

Bought both rear rails, trunk pan, fuel tank supports, rear panel reinforcements for my 73 SE. Going to cut the old rusted parts out this week. Making payments on my 71 R/T. Looked at my 72 SE sun roof car. Dreamed of working on my 71 Super Bees and my plans of my prostreet 71 coupe.
