Bob,
I contacted my good friend, TECH, to ask for his help. Hopefully he'll post here shortly.

TECH tells me there are several possible faults, and that the training manual is an interesting read. I can't wait to see it.

Hello odzking (Bob)!
My name is TECH, and I'm your Chrysler Corporation training expert!
Your good friend, and "Your Chrysler Man in Detroit" DynoDave, called and said you needed some training information for your newly installed cruise control. I'd be very happy to help.
First, let me say how beautiful your Charger is! It does this old Mopar guy proud to see so many people restoring and caring for our creations.
DynoDave has been exposed to my training materials since he was a kid in college. But we had the opportunity to meet (him and his son) in person during a seminar celebrating my history with the Chrysler Corporation at the Walter P. Chrysler Museum a few years back.
Anyway, let's have a look back at some of my training material, c1972. As a bonus, I'll include the pages on the concealed headlamp system too. I know they are popular with lots of you 3rd gen. Charger guys and gals.
I hope these photos will be readable for you. It's a little dark down here in the archive. If you want the actual photos, just drop DynoDave a PM, and I'll have him send them to you.

Installed trunk floor with fuel tank braces. Quarter panel support. Working on getting DS outer wheel well installed. Fabricating rust repair parts since noone makes the rocker panel parts. Moving on to the passenger side hopefully this weekend. Door, trunk lid, hood and both valences are done and ready for final blocking and paint.

OK, I am sick and tired of looking at my car...I am going to take the next two days "off" and work on my Charger.
Out comes the dash....in goes the new wiring harness, Rallye dash with tach, and new dash pad. Hopefully, I can also get the hideaways wired up and operational... And if time allows, the transmission selector seal replaced.
I did make sure that the local parts store does have the sending units I need for the Rallye dash change.

Nice scan Bob! My scanner is n/a, so I had to settle for photos. It's quite an interesting device when you read about all that is going on inside.

I worked pathetically slow...but managed to get the harness and Rallye dash installed today. looks so much better! Terry dropped by and hung out for most of the day, helped a little...and treated me to ribs for dinner. The biggest slow down occurred when I realized I need to drill holes in the firewall for the tach wire and hideaway sub-harness. So....I dropped the column again, removed the fuse box and drilled from the inside of the car. Had to go to Home depot to get a hole saw for the hideaway harness hole. Found out my dash frame is pretty "hammered" around the steering column. The previous owner installed it "all wrong" Now the interesting part. The dash pad fit was poor. I think the pad frame is bent. With much more effort than should have been required...I got it mounted. Managed to bugger up the passenger side lower corner a little. Overall...it looks nice, but the grain is definitely off. Woodgrain heat/ac vents do not sit flush. I will have to work on that again later. I bought my pad from Superior dash in Ohio......but it was in a "ultimate rides".... El Paso TX box. I managed to totally overlook that when I got the pad a couple years ago.
