Curtis: You need to think about starting your own "Curtisc Restoration" thread, like Eckertc and Beer and Son771 have going... Especially since you seem to be doing something on your car about every day, which is way more than I'm doing, and makes me very, very jealous!! Oh, and keep up the good work!! #2Thumbs# That's a great idea, it may take a bit of time to put together at first but it is well worth it. I have had to refer to my own journal pics for reference more then once I even managed to find a bag of parts I thought was long gone because I saw them on a shelf in my garage on one of my own posts.

Well I got a couple of things done, had my dad drop by and assist with the removal of the windshield. Used WD-40 to loosen the gasket, also used aircraft wire and the glass removal tool... well it cracked, kind of figured it might, and I sort of wanted a new one anyway. The highlight was removing the torsion bars, well I haven't pulled them all the way out yet but they are loose. Man those things were in their well and I really had to smack that tool. Then I removed the 4 bolts for the K-Frame and dropped the whole assembly on to some blocks temporarily.

Well, I did a little more this weekend. Removed some remaining clips, screws and brackets from the undercarriage, but the big success was moving the k-frame out from under the car and hosed it down. Next I'll remove all the suspension components and further clean and degrease and replace the parts that need replacing.

Keep the pics comin Charger72! looks like you're making great progress.
How far are you going with your restore? Do you plan to do a full restore, or are you going for a good clean up and mechanically sound daily driver kinda restore?
In any case, keep up the good work, seeing others progress pics is a great motivator for me. ;D

Right now the only piece left on the car is the rear window, everything else is stripped off. I guess due to limited funds (mtge, wife, child, economy etc.) it would probably end up being as you mentioned a good clean up and mechanically sound daily driver, or weekend good weather driver restore. I'm not an engine builder nor a bodyman so that will have to be outsourced. My car has full undercoating so I may strip it down and re-coat it, same with the interior. Strip the paint and seam sealer, spray the interior with some sort of rust encapsulator followed by maybe some sprayon sound deadener. I figure I can save money there. It won't be a show car but will be the way I want it and I'll get it on the road sooner, I would like to drive it again one day. (Laughing Out Loud). Thanks for the encouragement.

Okay....when your car gets in that condition, it's time to start your own restoration thread. Title it: Charger72's Restoration Thread, and cut and paste all of your posts from this thread into it..... Also, try to use your pic hosting site to downsize your pictures to a maximum of 640 (wide) by 480 (height) resolution, prior to uploading them here. Everyone should be making the attempt to do that, as anything bigger really slows down the loading process for reading them. Good progress on your car.....keep up the good work!! #2Thumbs#

Hi Jer, ok get ready for the resto thread and I'll adjust the size of the pictures as you suggest. I must admit I do most of my posting while I am at work, so I kind of rush things, especially not always re-sizing. Thanks for the positive feedback, if it wasn't for the people on the forum I'd get no recognition.

New (to me) 15" aluminum wheels + 215/75/15 Michelin Harmonies with 4k miles on them. Picked up on craigslist for $150.00. Rebuilt carb installed $50.00 ebay grab, new points + condensor, spark plugs, battery, starter, battery cables.
Still need a gas tank and to go through the brakes... The front rotors and calipers are REALLY rusty.
