By the way Brock... the kilo odometer gear is 25 teeth while miles one is 21 The gear to the input shaft is 10 on both since of course both meet the same input drive worm The other side of this gear is worm kind counts 8 "levels", counting from the beginning of the worm. Miles ones seems to be 7 and a half Second gear counts also 10 teeth, on both, kilo and miles, it seems diff thickness thought The worm side of this same gear, the one what engages to the odo gear counts 6 levels, once again counting from the beginning of the thread on inner side. Miles are 5 It seems then kilo pieces are red while miles ones are white, on these Rallye speedos at least. I can't recall on my original standard cluster one ( 200 Kph )

while I got better my speedo red line, also sold the extra face and gears I had for the second speedo I got last year I think ( didn't want but need the money badly ) which arrived with bushing broken. This is the one I used to scan the red line. need to note the bushings got PERFECTLY fixed with epoxy meaning this fix is really effective if you get same fail, but the axial play the input driver got on both made to take the decision to use another speedo as donor. The axial play made to drag quite often the aluminum cup making to bounce the needle as crazy at certain speed. Also used the odometer from the donor Bob sent me as a parts donor to replace the worn numbered wheels by the felt from the odometer I was to sell making a better deal to the buyer. Installed the red line decal at no cost. The only detail is these red lines are hard to stick because they are too thin, so the glue surface is not enough. They move easily, but once mounted on cluster that won't be a problem anyway. Note the high beam indicator is a vertical slot, so must be an earlier one even still got a blue lense instead the red tape. Face decals are available for these. I kept the one with horizontal slot ( the first one I got ) which by the way, makes to keep the 120 km mark. Face decals for these seems to be not available. Also cleaned both with black shoes grease/wax and polished ( How does it calls up there that stuff ? ) and came out really nice hidding all "imperfections"!!! This is going to Sweden, but being shipped to MN though, to a 72 RR as far I know ( car is still in the States )

Well, it seems the axial play it way away to be fixable.. unless using a glue between the brass input drive shaft and the Teflon worm.

It's been a while. Hey guys!
The axial play that I experienced was adjustable by bending the mounting tangs.
Thank you Nacho for the gear tooth count!
