Now if they could make one that helps me stand back up after getting down on the ground.

$89.95 ... you gotta be freekin' kidding me! I saw the ad for it and said, hmm, not a bad idea. But the price is absolutely ridiculous. I will wait until they are on the "as seen on TV" shelf at Walmart for $10. Unbelievable!

I will stick with the old sheets of cardboard I keep around just for working under cars.

That's cheatin'. I was laying in my gravel drive last night working on a daily driver, getting bit by mosquitoes. I wish I had a lift!

I will stick with the old sheets of cardboard I keep around just for working under cars. I keep a few of those around. I actually went to a local sign shop and sprung for a sheet of corrugated plastic (like cardboard, but plastic...they make yard signs out of the stuff)...got a piece in black, 4x4 or so. Has worn like iron, you can clean oil and brake fluid off of it, moisture from the ground does not wick through...it's been well worth the money spent.

Old carpeting has always worked for me and you can double it up for extra padding. Never liked creepers as you can't get any leverage w/o rolling yourself out from under the vehicle. And ya, I like the idea of something to lift you off the ground when you need to grab another tool. After 3 knee replacements (no my 3rd leg didn't need one) it's getting tough to get back up.

No replacements ... yet. But I hear ya. Then I strain my back from getting up without trying to use the knees and that is another story!
