I recently replaced the underdash harness in my 74 with a fairly new one from a 71 Charger. I had to swap out a few wires at the fuse box in order to start the car (and keep it running) properly. Now my horn isn't working. I assume it's the same deal where a wire needs to be swapped out. Anyone know which number on the fuse box that the wire from the column should plug into for the horn? The engine side is still a 74 harness so that's all the same. Thanks

Horn question: Maybe someone can save me some time. I had one of the three steering wheel horn switches working (will rebuild at a later date). I left my key in the ignition, one position up to test my lights and forgot to remove them overnight. In the morning I had to charge the battery. But now my horn does not turn off, so I have a short somewhere caused by leaving the key in. I even tried removing the horn relay from the fuse block, but the horn kept blaring. I had to resort to unhooking the horns under the hood. Has anyone else had this happen? Maybe you can save me some time before I rewire,
Thanks, Jeff

The one time it happened to me it was a short in the horn switch on the steering wheel.

I had an issue where the horn would sound while turning the starting wheel. Removing the horn relay temporarily worked for me.
A few months ago I changed my ignition switch. While I was at it I also swapped the horn switch harmes. The harness was in the 30 to 40 dollar range and it fixed the issue. There is a sticky with pictures and steps that were taken to remove the harness.

Pretty sure I picked up the part from here. If you do replace this, there is a slight modification that may need to be done to this aftermarket part. "Sixstring" made me aware of it otherwise I would be banging my head against the wall. Just a little grinding to fit the turn signal arm properly. I have some good, saved pictures of the area to grind if and when you need it.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I plan on removing the entire column and have collected all of the parts to rebuild it (even a new in the box OEM old stock horn switch). My concern is that even with the relay removed, the horn was still on. ... ? and how would leaving the key in, with the ignition switch one click up, over-night caused this? The car is as basic as can be (other than being a Super Bee), no light package, no buzzer package, no AC, manual steering and breaks, non tilt wheel. I'm puzzled as to the cause. Again, thanks for all of your suggestions, it is appreciated. Jeff

there is not a chance with horn relay removed the horn could be still on. The green traced red wire running to horns comes straight from horn relay at fuse box... no split around but a straight line.
relay get a batt source from fuse box ( violet wire ) which feeds the green traced red wire being triggered by ground ( black wire ) coming from steering column
horn relay is also at the same time the key in buzzer. Its a double function relay

Nacho, that's why I'm scratching my head. I'll have to check, but I don't think that I have the key in buzzer option. My other 1971 SE did (had full lights and buzzer package). The super bee doesn't even have door light switches, this is virtually a stripped down race car. The dome light is manual by twisting the headlight/dimmer switch. And I'm fairly sure that I pulled the correct relay too. I tested it by pressing the horn and heard/felt it flip. Will take pics tomorrow to post here.
