I am upgrading my gauges and carrier and would like to update the light and wiper knobs. All I could find is MB1240 and MB1241 and bezel on Classic Industries. It doesn't say it will fit my car so they said they would not refund the money if they don't fit. They look the same but I am wondering if anyone else has tried.
Also, I need to replace the hood cable, the website says MB2286 is for my car but the one on there now is ME753. I need the loop on the end like ME753. Any help would be great.

They don't have a clue what they are talking about.
MB2286 resembles a 71 b body hood release, in that it has chrome horizontal handle. But I don't think that the end is correct. I think it should have the loop As many cars as I have owned and parted, I have not had many 71's with hood release. Anyway.....Definitely not correct for 72, 73, or 74 b body.
ME753 resembles a correct 72-74 b body hood release. Vertical handle with HOOD lettering Them selling it as an E body part kind of bothers me though. I was not aware of that interchange. Mopar made a lot of handles that looked like this unit. I have pulled them out of B and C bodies, even trucks. The difference being cable length. (trucks/vans are too short for our cars) I would find out the cable length on this part, compare it to known correct part, before ordering

Yep, length is the important thing. The 94" MB2286 is long enough for a Charger but you'll need to modify it to work with a stock hood latch which expects a wire loop on the end of the cable. The ME753 has the correct loop on the end but will be way too short for your Charger.

I pulled the one in there. It is 94” with the loop on it. Anyone know where I can find a replacement? I can just figure out how to attach the MB2286 if nothing else. Has anyone updated the 74 lights and wiper knobs on the dash? If so, Which ones did you order?

I think you are running into a wall on this because ...... The manufacturers of these parts don't know the correct fitment And your re-sellers know even less. It happens way more than one would think. Not to be egotistical....but I don't call vendors with questions like this. I know for a fact, that I am already more knowledgeable on the subject. I don't need some $10 an hour employee reading me incorrect information out of a catalog. So....where the bleep are these vendors coming up with this "ball style" nonsense? Was there ever a 71 b body hood release with ball style end? PG classic has one listed as 71-74 b body and 70-78 A body Can't see the handle in pictures. nice I would not assume it to be correct or right length. Nor would I deal with them directly if at all avoidable, due to poor customer service. www.pgclassic.com/326-hr

I ordered the knob parts anyways and they do fit. Three techs at classic industries said they wouldn't, way to go guys. I wasn't able to use the bezels because of the aftermarket cluster case but they do fit as well. I also ordered the cable but haven't played with that yet.
