Because of the straight design, it still has access limitations. Also, the ears on the clamp it was demo'd on were real close together. Wonder how much range it has. I'd buy one if the price was right. On the clamp in the demo....I'd just use pliers. I would not pay $100 for it, like I did for the cable operated hose clamp removers that became popular in the late 90's.

I'd say the range is the length of the thread on the opposite end...which does not appear to be too awful much. I found it via an ad on Craigslist here in Detroit. Title says $18. Which is often misleading. No other price info in the text. DETROIT
