My '71 Charger is now in a local resto shop (Car Doctor, North Platte NE). Right qtr is on the car, but we haven't located a leftie. They called AMD, and were told this was out of stock, and may not be produced again due to inadequate demand. Anyone here know where one of these can be had? Have called several dealers, but all say, "shipped from factory." Any help here is appreciated.
Also, is the '72 qtrs the same as '71, except for the marker light? If so, perhaps that will do.

Dang, that's disappointing to hear. Shows quarters for both sides, and skins for both sides (my year, '72) Out of Stock.

I normally would not recommend these guys....but you need to find an AMD dealer that actually keeps items in stock, rather than just drop shipping. Stephens does carry actual inventory stephensperformance.com/

Not going to be surprised to see if what little is available for our cars....becomes unavailable again.
If AMD can't sell enough 71 and 72 quarters to warrant another run......will the hoods really make it to market?

Probably the most commonly needed part for any old car. If there's not enough volume in those, I can't imagine us getting anything else. I had already started to patch mine c1990. As stds. for such work (even that done at home) have continued to rise, I had planned to probably by proper skins for my car. But I guess I'll stick with what I've got. Lets be honest. I'll be lucky to get mine done while I can still drive, or while driving is still allowed. If I patch 'em and paint 'em, it'll probably be more than good enough to last my lifetime.

That link works.
I "think" those might be the hand formed ones, which have sort of a bad reputation around here.

Yeah, those are the hand formed ones. Same useless pieces that have been sold on eBay for years, just a higher price. I am guessing the higher price is an attempt to seemingly legitimize the parts. Save your money....buy a 5 lb hammer and a flat piece of sheet metal stock instead.
