If I remember right he had a failure while under the warranty the first year while driving home from the Frankenmuth Autofest. Not sure of the details maybe a wire/plug issue? Hank?

It's been about 4 years since anyone posted so I'd be curious about how things have worked over time. So far . No compaints yet. Starts up fine, idles fine and no hesitations. Also better gas mileage.

I've read about guys ruining their engines by unintentionally running the Holley Sniper too lean. Apparently the Sniper can do a lot but you really need to be on your game to run it well.

What happened was there was a bad jet that malfunctioned(broke) according to Fitech. They sent a new unit within the week. Car was down for 9 days. So far so good.

Good day everyone! I just finished removing my Holley Sniper EFI system and going back to carburetor, It was a HORRIBLE waste of time and money. The short answer is if your car is only an occasional driver, you ABSOULTLY do not need to waste money. Think about this...your about to leave a car show and your car will not start. Pretty much two things; spark or gas. Change to EFI now it's spark/gas AND all the electronics, relays and wiring that you've added to a 50 year old car. after I converted it decided to run rich for whatever reason...fouled all the plugs. Then it decided to sometimes start...sometimes not? played with it for 6 months and gave up. Carb runs just as good and ZERO headache. Here's a longer write up www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,142729.50.html Attachments:

Thanks for the heads up. I'm finding a lot of the aftermarket stuff doesn't live up to expectations, especially for the $.

Sorry to hear about this akcharger. Not sure what happened with the installation, if anything, but I am still running with the Fitech EFI unit and still running smooth. I usually drive the car 2-3 times a week (april-october) here in Michigan. I definitely was not that confident on doing the install myself, so I was fortunate to have a guy who knew how to install these units. I'm glad it has worked out going back to the carb and sorry about your cost and time.
