My wife wants to trade in our FJ Cruiser for a four door car so I made the mistake of test driving a 2019 Daytona charger the other day. I have never driven a car like that before; the power and handling along with the exhaust sound was exhilarating and fun not to mention addicting. The dealer hand me believing i could afford it so i was really excited that i might actually get it. Then realality hit me like well you know; aaaaa sir we made a mistake in our calculations the payments are going to be $250 than we said! ): Well now I got a taste of what I been missing and i cant get the Daytona so what now? Okay so to get to the point i did a lot of research and now I’m looking at a 2014 SRT8 Charger that is priced really good with 52k miles. Ive only seen photos from the dealership so far but hope to see it this weekend in person. It’s one owner from here close to where i live and it looks clean from pics. Ive looked at tons of videos and reviews of this car and it seems to be a pretty sweet ride. Have any of you ever had dealings with a SRT8 and would share thoughts? Thanks

I have not. I had a 300 as a rental last year. It was only a 3.6, but it was a REALLY nice car, with plenty of power to be honest. I can only imagine how much fun a Hemi and tighter suspension add.
I hope the SRT8 turns out to be a good one for you.

I got the 2014 SRT8 yesterday * * It’s clean and drives like a dream; now i have a his and hers Charger. I never had personal experience with these newer chargers and wondered about them and I’m surprised how well they handle and at all the technology on board. Looking forward to enjoying this ride!

One thing I didn’t do my homework on; The car was out of original warranty so I got a 4 year 48,000k extended warranty. After seeing some things on line I’m not sure if it was a good idea and starting to wonder if i need to cancel it. I cant recall ever walking out of a car dealership feeling real good about it, that’s sad. Nothing to do with car just think in the end the warranty is a rip off. I found out most of the cost of the warranty goes to the dealership as profit to them but I didn’t know this at the time i signed the agreement. You know how it is after you been there for half a day your just ready to sign papers and go home. Anyway the fine print sure leaves a lot of that legal talk wiggle room for them not to pay. Please guys tell me what you think about it and some of your experience, i need advice. My plan covers : 1 manufacturers original coverage except for normal maintenance items (which is a lot) 2 Teck package Thanks!

Ive got another issue, something was sprayed on the car and it has ruined the glass and is on paint as well. It’s been raining since we bought it till today and i went out to clean the car a little and noticed this. The sun has really exposed this and its bad; a razor blade wont touch it nor solvents. Tomorrow the dealer ship is going to hear from me! You couldn’t tell in the rain it was like this. Dang it

Hopefully something they can remove.
The warranty is what it is. It's insurance. And like any insurance, it clearly and specifically covers some things, and not others. As long as you know what your coverage is when you go in to have work done, then you shouldn't be in for any nasty surprises.

Ive been looking at YouTube videos on water spot removal and it looks like there are products available to get them off. That’s very good to know cause I really love the car and want it to be in the best condition possible. I would hate to be stuck with those spots the rest of my ounership of the car which I hope will be a long time. Who knows maybe some day we can take it to car shows and park the 2014 next to the 1973.

Car was buffed out and detailed looks great and hard water spots are gone! So far I’m impressed with SRT, awesome to drive, I wish it was easier to post pics.
