...fit in a '72 B-body?
In other words, picture a '68 Road Runner, K member, steering box, idler, pitman, drag link, upper and lower control arms, ball joints, knuckles, rotors, calipers....drop that whole assembly out of the '68 B-body....what if any of it will bolt up to a '72 B-body?

I can't say from experience Dave but I just looked at part numbers and they are not even close. Just FYI.

I'm gonna say no because of the weight difference of those 2 years. The greater weight in the 68 would probably require all of the fittings being able to handle more of the stress of that weight. Therefore engineered and modified as such compared to a 72. But then what do I know, I was in I.T for 35 years

All suspension and steering components... except those related with sway bars, are the same. Not the K frame thought as far I recall. Sway bar changed on 70, being shorter from previous years. This makes the LCA diff just due sway bar provision location and shape, but if wasn't because that, will fit exactly the same.
