That's pretty cool but I'd chock the wheels for sure.

I had pulled and installed a number of engines back in my mid 20's and a couple of trucks in the 90's all out the top so when I did my Charger it came out through the top, removed the trans from underneath and reversed the process to reinstall. I later helped a friend pull his engine out of his '69 Charger. When it came time to reinstall it we built a jig out of wood to lay the engine, trans & K frame on and using my engine hoist lifted up the car, slid the assembly under and lowered like the video. Pretty slick. A little tight though getting it between the frame rail if I remember but hey, the factory did it daily.

This is the easiest way to go for sure, if you have the facilities to do so.
But man, the casters on that engine stand are NOT happy!

Reminds me of me, doing these types of installations all by myself. Though all the neighbors know to come running if they hear any screaming or cursing in the garage.

Looks like you had some monster wheels in the back!

Oh, those aren't mine. Not my car. I just saved the photos for future reference.

Think I may do the same thing with my wheel skates, decided to install the k-frame and engine all from below. Thanks for posting the pictures Dave.

While there are many ways to do it, I like that orange fixture in the video. Good for lifting the body, and for rolling it around while the front cradle and suspension are out.
