Hi all!! first of all apologize for my bad english! I am here looking for some help ... for a couple of years I have been trying to recover the body of a 1972 charger! but unfortunately the internal fenders were in very bad condition and also the rails were impossible to repair, it did not even have the new or used spare parts for repair or replacement! so I did something very daring I think and it was to replace the entire half chassis of my charger 72 with one of charger 1973 when I mention everything is all crossmember, rails, internal fenders, and the radiator support, I did this because I had no other option I want to keep Obviously the original fenders of 72 and well I know they will not fit the same in the internal fenders of 73, I was wondering if someone here had done something similar if someone has experience in jobs like this and can give me some guidance thanks in advance to everyone!

Recuerda que nuestros carros no tienen chasis, sino compacto. En este caso, estas cambiando el "front clip" o la seccion frontal del unybody.

Welcome aboard! That's a creative solution to rust issues. I've not seen that done before. I seen discussions about fender interchange, but it's usually around body line and shapes, not so much on mounting. Nacho, I think you have addressed this before (or anyone else that knows)?

Theorically I know what must have to be made, but would be helpfull try to recover the pics posted way long time ago by Tom, showing the unmatched areas between a 73/74 fender on a 71/72, specifically at radiator core support. He posted in fact the huge gap between fender and rad core support where the wheels were visible. That would be helpfull to him to know what area exactly of the fender needs to be cut out from the 73/74 fender to be attached to the 71/72 outer shell fender.
He is trying to save a 72 with a 73/74 parts car he got with a nice front clip. Unfortunatelly his 72 got the frame rails modified to accept an F body K member. He is wanting to make somehow an R/T clone even with the correct doors ( what already found in Vzla ). Sure will be an unique 71 R/T clone with an isolated suspension LOL.

Rats...it does not appear that I saved those to my computer. I guess I didn't think I'd ever need them. Do you Tom would still have them?

He posted in fact on that thread several pics with differences about 71/72 and 73/74 with the tape measuring. Also the wheel weel height.

Sorry guys..... I have never been one to save pictures very long.
I used to go thru a home computer every three or four years.....and when the computer was gone, the pics were gone! Good luck with this courageous project. I'll be back to the fishing now.
Got me a brand spanking new Honda outboard yesterday. Ready to go take it for a test run!
