I've already removed the vinyl top. I was going to mold in the plastic piece that covers the opera windows but I think I may decide to remove the opera window and just have 1 piece of glass that goes from the B-pillar to where the opera glass used to be. Don't care if it rolls up or down. I would prefer for it to be fixed. It's a 73 Charger SE. Someone on Facebook said cutout the composite plug behind the opera window and in a 73-74 Satellite RR glass. Any thoughts?

Welcome. I don't know where the hell that guy came out with that suggestion but is what usually Facebook posters are able to imagine from nothing. This topic has been talked since ever on several boards around. I can try to search info allong the week ( sorry, having not enough time to keep posting detailed info latelly ) but is not just to remove the pot metal insert. It also needs to cut the "B pillar" piece, make a cut on door jam panel, elongate the drip rails... and also get the propper interior panels for hardtop/coupe setup..
About the glass you don't need to get a glass from a Satellite. True the fixed glass is Standard on 73/74 Roadrunners, but also lot of Chargers got the fixed glass option (WL21 on VIN). You can either get roll down or fixed glass setup, but the rest of parts mods mentioned will remain being the same.
On a side note if getting fixed glass, the upper interior quarter panel get the hole for the crank for manual roll down glasses. Powered windows get the switches on lower panel. So you will need to consider that to the propper upper interior panel.
Also, I guess you have brougham interior which is tipical on SEs... upper rear panels to match brougham door panels are HARD to find. Hardtops/coupes are usually with standard upper panels with wide woodgrain insert if hardtop, or non woodgrained on Coupes.

I tried to post some pictures, didnĀ“t work...too big picture. Anyway, the drivers side is hardtop now, not any glass yet.

I tried to post some pictures, didn't work...too big picture. Yeah, it's not the file size. We're just out of hosting space. You have to have your own photo host.
