I don't know about rare (I'm sure a 4sp in an SE was low #'s) but i question the "garaged it's whole life" and the 24k miles on it. My car sat for some 20 years in a garage and wasn't near that grimy and deteriorated.

Oh, I'm sure it's rare. By '74, 4-speed sales were quite low. And the 318 4-speed combo would be even more are I would think. Rare, not super valuable or collectible. Warmed over, that would be a very fun and economical powertrain.

Agree with Jeff. That car needs a good look over top and bottom. Looking at that engine bay makes me suspect there's a lot more rust than these pics are showing. 4 SP's for the year 74 was still available but in small #'s ordered

Talk about rare combo's, I once saw at the Telegraph cruise a 71 Road Runner with a 383 4bbl and 3 speed. A big block and 3sd! Can't say I've ever seen another. If I remember I verified the combo on the fender tag. Owner said he's owned it since it was a few years old.
