I noticed that 71-72 and 73-74 tailamp assemblies are diffrent as the location/position of the pigtails for the light bulbs are in diffrent locations...71-72 come up from the bottom 73-74 are directly from behind.
My question is will the 71-72 lenses fit on the 73-74 housings?? will the screws mount correctly?? thanks...

The only lenses used both in 71 and 72 was the ones in the 71 R/T,500, and 72 Rallye models. 71 standard lenses are 1 year and unique, 72 standard and SE lenses are also 1 year and unique. regardless, none of
those 4 unique styles will work on 73-74 housings.

....BUT any year housing will fit in any year bumper. (71-74)

 as complete asembly. recomended mounting 71/72s on 73/74s and viceversa: fit the propper licence plate bracket ( lower stop one )

Swapping the pigtails is no easy task.
Are they repopping them any where?

unless damaged, pigtails are the same, so no need to replace

pigtails ?I never have seen the sockets itself!!!!
Let me know if somebody find who provides the correct sockets to our assembly!!!!
