I was in need of a dry place to work so what I did was build a very large tarp tent . it consists of 2"x 3" trusses every 2' and some very large tarps. and so far as being strong well I live in the north east and had no problem even with a good wet snow load. a good portion of the lumber I used for it was discount drop loads from Lowe's they sell out side the store in bundled piles. I paid .20 cents on the dollar you should have saw my car hauler with all that lumber on it. wanted to put up a 30' x 40' steel building but at this time felt I would rather put the money in the car.

one thing I didn't think of was making it tall enough to pull and put a engine back in so I am stuck doing it in the driveway.

Very very nice. Great price also, right up my alley. They used to call me cheap but I prefer frugil. My garage that I started my Charger in was crappy and only about 10 x 22. 2 horse stalls built into one. Thats a great place you have there and organized. Unlike mine right now. Great job. Bob

They used to call me cheap but I prefer frugil. Bob #WaveHi# there is no past tense in your cheapness. You were/are/will be cheap. (You still are my buddy though) That is a neat little shop on the cheap. Unfortunately, I have a feeling that my local code enforcement would not appreciate me building something like that in my backyard here.

Man, Bill...I am so jealous!! My neighbors would absolutely freak out if I did something like that...at least Gladys Kravitz across the street would!! I love all the shelves, and I drooled over all the parts on the shelves!! (Remind me to update my photo of my parts closet one of these days)....I have my eyes on 1/2 of My Bride's walk-in closet for expansion purposes..but she knows that, so she's got HER eye on me!! Just a ballpark measurement... how much "headroom clearance" woluld you guess a fella would need to pull an engine only, Bill?(I know it would take more if one were yankin' the entire eng/tranny combo, because of the added depth of the tranny.) [And then of course one would have to figure in lift chain and hook length and the total boom end height, and...OOPS, I MAY have messed up by backing my 72 in!!] Thanks for the pics,....great shed!! Jer.
