Well, it had to happen: My Battery Load/Charging System Tester finally gave up the ghost last night, just as I was testing the battery on The Bride's Durango. I just don't understand it....I received it in 1971 for my 16th birthday present....I guess nothing lasts any more....2 years shy of its 40th birthday...what a shame!! After a little internet research and comparison shopping, I was able to find another one today, actually almost a carbon copy, at the local NAPA....for 50 bucks.... Seeing as how it is Made In China (where else?), I really don't expect it to last another 38 years, much less outlive me. We'll just have to see, I guess.

That thing looks like it never made it out of the tool box jer. I have my share of 30+ year old tools but apperently, you take care of yours way better then I do mine.

Now that yopu have a new battery tester to compare the old one with, you could troubleshoot & possibly fix the old one up for me?

The pics are of the new one, Dork-O !!! Although, all modesty aside, the old one doesn't look much worse... My Bride calls it Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, if you can believe that!!

At my age, I don't have the luxury of that kind of spare time, Brock... I figure my time to be worth 50 bucks an hour (to me), so it works out the same to just buy a new one... Thus freeing me up of one MORE hour left in my ever-decreasing lifespan that's left to me, for something really important!! Convoluted thinking, but that's just me!! ;D

I regret to inform you Brother Brock, that it went bye-bye with the garbage pickup... Sorry, Bud.
