Pulling in the bumpers on '73-'74 cars requires only the bumper mounts from a '71-'72... and don't forget the front upper reinforcement rods! just on rear... fronts won't match with frame rails |

I believe that i know of one subtle difference between a 72...and a 73/74 rear bumper.

Hint.....the filler trim on a 73-74 has to be mounted somehow/somewhere.... so there must be some difference on a 73-74 rear bumper, even if it is not noticeable when mounted on the car.

71/72 rear bumpers doesn't have the provisions to the filler screws. Beside that, the corners fillers have studs so 73/74 also have holes to the top studs
72 bumper is an unique bumper from outer look, and is the slot to the jack, 71 and 73/74 doesn't have slots. 71 uses the C Clamp, and 73/74 have a cut/notch on lower edge of bumper
73/74 bumpers have also in front the bumper filler provisions to the screws, unexistant on earliers but JUST for the corners... allong some other differences, like the arrow, the top brace attaching...
