thinkn about making some lime green inserts for my buckets in my 72'.and then making a new package shelf.I want to cover it in black vinyl and then overlay it with the word "charger" in lime green.A guy in a car club I belong to has done interiors for years and he wants to help me so i am trying to brain storm some cool ideas.I want to do something custom instead of the ordinary stock interior.seems everyone else has thiers original.I have a new black dash cover been tossing the idea to paint the metal dash Sublime to match the outside.any one had luck painting the dash still in the car? thanks guys

I find hard to paint the dash GOOD still mounted unless you don't care some probably noticeable areas. If you want a good job, do it outside and unjoined parts.
Is just an opinion.
I preffer myself take the time to remove and making a good job than take teh time MASKING everywhere around and maybe some unpainted area... and save from some accident inside.
You will notice is allmost the same time you will take removing than masking but quality of job is noticeable and won't need extra cares about the rest. Is posible remove, unjoin, paint, joind and mount in one day. Of course a COMPLETE day, and won't need to mask anything
