went to quite a few local junkyards today, and found barely any old mopars at all. not sure if I should be happy that MAYBE they are on the road, or sad that they are all crushed and being melted down..... point being is this: kickdown linkage from an '85 diplomat/grand fury with the 318-360 will fit and work on my 74 charger 318....hopefully. instead of the 1 long arm that goes all the way to the trans, i got the multi pivot, brackets and all......should work nice once cleaned and lubed. parking brake cable from above car, HOPE it will work, since it is very adjustable....if not I got the hardware that is missing from my car and so all I should need is a cable if this one doesn't fit. alternator bracket from same 85 grand fury with 318. alt/AC brackets. found what I think is an old 4 door duster something or the other with 318 with non AC alt brackets, so got both sets. so depending on which one I use, the other may or may not be up for grabs when all is said and done....depends on whether or not I re-add the AC to my charger. not sure if any/all this was already known, but I figured I would share anyway just in case....after all, that's what we're here for. side note: the local main junkyard here in san antonio is called Pick N Pull......catchy name for a yard huh...lol. it seems that they have a "special" section for old cars that is only open from 9am-3pm on saturdays only....so if I can get out there this weekend, and if the guy wasn't pulling my leg, I may have some pics to add to the neglected mopars section.

Hey Hipster, If it turns out you've hit the "Charger Motherlode", it would be more appropriate to list it in Salvage Yards in the Helpful Links section.... Those Pick and Pulls are a National Chain, and you're right....no better place to spend a few hours than browsing through them and removing all the needed parts you can tote (and afford). Tom has Army cots set up in nearly all of the Pick n Pulls in the South!!

if i make it there this saturday and they have alot of old mopars in the "old car section" that's only open on saturdays, i'll definately put a post up in there. most of what they had in the normal yard were mid '90s and up stuff, a few mid 80's diplomats/G furys, and one 4 door something from the late 70's.
