For Christmas, I received a craftsman HVLP paint gun. It is a siphon feed rather than a gravity feed. Please bear with me...I am a complete novice on this subject. Not really sure if this is something I want to keep...or return and get something else. The salesperson also sold my wife a 2.5 gallon pressurized "paint tank" and paint hose. I think this was "overkill" and not really what I am looking for. I am thinking about returning all this stuff and just buying a gravity feed unit.....this one to be precise.. cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140367785109&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT Any (knowledgeable) suggestions/advice would be appreciated.

Tom the separate pot and hose are great for primers.....but the kit you show from ebay looks much better .....the gravity feed guns are the best and waste very little paint......... I see it comes with a 1.5mm tip for primer ....thats great it has multiple tip sizes........1.5-1.6 mm for two stage high build primers will work fine 1.3mm is good for finished paint work........... Looks like a great kit, let me know what you think of it if you buy one.....Although Craftsman prod are pretty good, I would not buy a paint gun there, they are more general purpose guns in my opinion..... But Your wifes Heart was in the right spot, thats great that she picked out something that supports your hobby!!

Tom, if you want a good paint gun goto your local automotive stare and look to see what they have, Some day your going to need parts and they will have what you need besides it is nice to build a relationship with them for other supplies

Purple Charger that is good advise except what the local paint proffesionals are using are very expensive guns....way to much for the do it your selfer.....A Devilibis kit like Tom is looking at is perfect for his use, and being a well known company he will have no problems ordering parts..

I paid 149 for a 1.3 High quality HVLP gun to do the small stuff. Can't say that would break the bank. It is a Warwick made in the USA in Los Angles

Tom, that is the EXACT kit that I bought earlier this year and used to paint parts of my Challenger.
Other than being Taiwanese, I have nothing but GOOD things to say about it.
It comes with aluminum paint cups, which to me are better than plastic. Just one of the plusses. #2Thumbs#

Maybe they used to be, but this is on their site today. " Warwick Industries, Inc., established since 1995, is located in the heart of Los Angeles, California. Our products are all made in Taiwan, with quality that is comparable with the leading brand names in the world, while remain reasonably priced. We provide various spray guns and accessories as well as airless spray parts."www.warwick-sprayguns.com/
