I just checked the numbers and it shows only 208 built. I got a call tonight from current and 2nd owner, would you believe it's another gold one with black stripe? WH23U4A, 48k miles, tan bench seat interior, working a/c, all original, no rust, never painted, original spare, am/fm, rear defogger, magnum 500s. I called a while back and totally forgot about it. Never heard back until tonight. He told me if I buy it, he would even drive it home for me. Sounds to good to be true. He is an older guy, actually a few less than me and is going to take some pics. Here is one I have. img828.imageshack.us/img828/456/74goldrallye.jpg

That's a good looking car! Falls into the "survivor" category it sounds like. Does that sort of car appeal to you? He is an older guy, actually a few less than me... Your not lumping yourself into the old guy group, are you?

I like the looks and gold on these things just turns me on. That's strange since my favorite color is grey(my SRT8), or lack of color as my wife says. Low miles, no rust, a 440 and air. You bet. Since I got my SE, I have been looking for a lower production performance model(R/T, Super Bee or Rallye) that hasn't been all hacked up. My SE was a 400 4bbl but it got replaced at some point with a built '70 383. And wouldn't you know it, before it was painted white, it was JY6 gold poly. But yes, it seems the Rallye is what I keep stumbling on, like the '73 4sp near you in Bloomfield Hills. Oh, I would have to consider myself an old guy. I'll be 61 in a couple weeks.

Hey get that car I can promise you that their are less than 10 known to exist. That is a beautiful car. I found one exactly like it under some trees with the original paint sitting out in weather for over twenty years and the paint didn't even fade. It must be the gold ditzler color. It must have 10 times the lead of the other paints. The one that I found was a 440 coupe rallye. The guy that got it is on the other charger website dodge charger.com under just mopping around. Brian

I called back and he forgot that I asked for a pic of the vin tag. He will take some more shots and get them to me tomorrow. He has to get his grandson to send, he doesn't have a computer. He read off the vin WH23U4A.

the paint code will be JL6 Aztec gold and the interior code will be E5YW gold/white aztec pattern, I would bet it is one, pretty rare in that combo I would guess there couldn't be very many if any like it, it seems to be a love it or hate it color combo
