71/74 bumpers are not exactly the same, just 73/74 are STRICTLY EXACTLY the same
71/72 are "the same" just 71 without slots and 72 with slots.
71/72 assembly doesn't have the inner bumper plate to bolt the bumper fillers that 73/74 have. Top of fender brace use a fastener to bolt to bumper on 73/74 for a while 71/72 use directly a bolt in bumper.
Beside that 73/74 are thicker and then heavier bumpers.
71/72 with depression to arrow in the center on front bumper
73/74 have 4 holes ( 2 each side ) to corners bumper fillers
about brackets... Rears are completelly interchangeable and is mandatory if you want to remove fillers and sit closer to body use 71/72 on 73/74. 71/72 are shorter.
Front, with reinforcements and grille brackets exception, the bumper to frame brackets are not interchangeable as far I know because the diff frame rail related with diff front suspension. never have tried to fit one on another but there are differences related with frame rails. Is easier then just enlarge the frame rail brackets holes
