Seems like the late B spindle is the one that carried over to the F, M & J bodies?! Advantages are It's a little taller & slightly lighter. Tires should stay slightly flatter in a curve. I'm new here, so pic iffy. I'm off to try though

Tom, Just checked at Autozone.com and for the 71 charger they were 72.99 must order ships in 2 days with a 2 year warranty. The late b body spindle debate has gone on forever it seems. I have talked to R Eberg and Bill Reily. Exhausted study done by Reily and he found minimum non issues. Safe to say that it is alright to use them but to each his own. I have used them and found no difference in daily driving. Rick and chryslers issue is stressing the upper ball joint but to do that the suspension has to be almost at full full travel. How often do you drive at full travel? If you can still get the early b or a/e spindles no problem but the late b spindles are still an option/. mike autozone had my rotors for my 74 in stock at 45 bucks a pop!, duralast brand but hey they work for now unitl i save my pennies for the slotted ones

73/74 rotors have always been cheap. 71-72 rotors have always been expensive.

I searched for 71 Rotors, and yes they were $175 each for a stock type rotor..........
So I placed an order thru Rotor Pros off of EBAY for a pair of drilled and slotted Zinc coated rotors........they are awsome looking.........I have not driven the car yet so I cant talk about how they will perform.......I paid around $200 a pair at the time last year.......which seemed like a much better alternative.

MMmmmmmm, Zatarain's!
I knew a guy who used the later schpindles on a 64 Sport Fury and had no issues.
The best part about the taller spindles is that they accept a LARGER rotor!

Actually, Q-Man, it isn't the spindle that allows the Larger rotor = it will fit on both. It IS the caliper adaptor from the later cars that allows for the larger rotor & caliper to mount up together.
Speaking of rotors: The 2 piece version is going to be expensive & the one peice version is still reasonable. The 2 piece is more expensive to manufacture & assemble + the warpage they are known for makes them a warantee nightmare. The one piece enjoys normal manufacturing techniques & no assembly + no warantee headaches. So just order the 73up 10.85 discs & enjoy OR score a pair of adaptors & move up to the 11.75 discs!!!
Disclaimer: Larger rotors will NOT fit in 14" wheels.

The F, M, J, R, and late B spindles fit great and work fine. This has to be one of the most commonly asked and answered questions in the Mopar world. Just use a '73 front brake hoses and they bolt up to '71 lower ball joints and upper control arms.
