It has been done before. NHCharger, a member here, used 73-74 skins on his 72. However, given the cost of repro 1/4 skins ($325?) , why not try to find used 72 1/4`s or buy a 72 parts car. OEM sheet metal fits better.

No 71/72 repop avaiable and as I stated good used quarters are nearly imposible Maybe impossible in Venezuela, but not here in the U.S. If they were so hard to find, I would not have 6 of them sitting in my storage unit. Best way to get them at a reasonable price is to buy a complete parts car. I got 2 of my sets off of $500 parts cars. The other set I bought on ebay for less than $200 and had to drive 150 miles to pick them up. A friend paid $850 for 2 mint ones plus another $250 to have them trucked to GA from Texas.

Does look the easier to find here are the 73s what is was the Chargers were first year with BB, maybe next ones are 71s anyway, Tom is right, get a parts car is the best option. HEY TOM... 72s ARE EASIER UP THERE BECAUSE THEY ARE THE LESS WISHED OF ALL ( except to you )

I have a good 72 se with good usable quarters one has a workable dent and some light reparable rust other just has some surface rust will trade for GOOD Dent and rust free Hood & L/H front fender and 2 good 8 3/4 posi 3rd members. You deliver and pick car haulk up has good floors and trunk, some other stuff as well but mostly a bare shell. I am removeing some small sections of the rear window for my car. I was saveing it for future projects but I need the parts pm me if interested other wise I will keep it
