Can I swap a Big block 72 Charger SE K frame into a 73 Satelight?
If so Do I use the bushings inbetween the Kframe and the body like the stock 73 satelight or can I deleat them like the 72 SE Charger ?
I have two satelights I am building one Big block car and a small block car my sons.
If this swap is possible I would like to put the Charger K frame in my car and put my BB K fram in his to make them both Big block cars.
My fear is since I would be deleating the K frame bushings inbetween the K fram and the unibody it would mess up the geomitry between the upper and lower contrlo arms.
The Downer Charger SE has the upper and lower control arms on the K frame and the unibody in the car now just sitting in the back yard so if I have to change every thing thats possible too. When I say every thing I mean upper and lower control arms with the sub frame and spindles.
Would this improve the Handling of the car or just mess it all up?

No, the 73 K-frame is different because it is rubber isolated. Any BB 71 or 72 K-frame will work.

First of all there is no such thing as a Big block 71-72 k frame. BB and SB use the same part.... which by the way is the same k frame as an e body. A 71-72 k frame wont bolt up to a 73-74. Its a whole different part. Use the Schumacher conversion mounts. Its the easiest way to convert a 73-74 small block b body to big block.

Ok well I guess I will scrap the idea but will hold onto the 72 K frame for a future 71 -72 project B or E body.

Any BB 71 or 72 K-frame will work. not just beacuse that, 73-laters is diff also because: -K rear "arms" are noticeable longer -upper control arm mount provision ( not anymore on framerail ) -swaybars fittig points with rod links instead U clamps

Well about the time I get rid of it I will wish I had it so it can sit out there.
As I get closer to doing more work on either car I will take some pics and do some measuring
