Hello, I'm looking to get some cast iron manifolds for my 440 sitting in my 72 - which casting numbers should i go for? and any tips where i can get hold of them?

are you actually searching for MATCHED CASTING NUMBERS for 72 ?
if not you can go with any B body manifold any year. The "problematic" difference between years is just the exhaust pipe flanges holes disposition/indexing, what is not a problem if you get floating flanges or will make new exhaust what will mean will be able to match any manifold you want
I think Year one Carries, or at least they did the correct casting numbers for the years ( they sell reproes ) and they shows the correct indexing all the years, somewhere. They did on the paper catalog, dunno if the on line catalog

ok so as long as i know the year of the manifold i'd be able to get the right exhaust as well?

Yep! Just don't settle for 400 type logs. HP manifolds are upswept!
