When I bought my car the four lens that cover the gauges were scratched pretty bad so I took them off and found a company locally that could make optical quality laser cut lens. They came out beautiful. The cost to make one set or 20 was the same, so I have about 19 extra sets. The nice thing about the new lens material is the optic quality material makes the gauges look better because it doesn't distort like the stock lens. It's like cleaning your glasses or switching from standard defination tv to high def tv The material is much more durable and scratch resistant than the stock lens material. I can't remember exactly what the material is, something like lexan. If any body needs a set I would be happy to share them for the cost of shipping plus $ which is just a couple bucks less than what I paid for each set. I even typed up instructions that explain how to carefully remove the old lens and attachment of the new lens for anybody that is not familier with how the lens are attached.

When I get off work today I will pull out the Charger and get the lens out of the attic to take some pictures. The lens are not curved. I can show you how I wedged mine in the oven rack and warmed it to make the curve myself. it's easy.

Do you have any pictures? What? you want me to take pictures of CLEAR lens and do it so you can see detail, you make that sound easy. It took a little time to figure out the light and back ground color but I think this is reasonable for a nonphotographer type person. These are my gauges after installing new lens. The top row is the stock lens I took out of my car. The bottom row is the new lens. It's hard to tell on the white background but the stock lens are a yellowish tint and the new are crystal clear I unwrapped one set of lens just to take pictures, I will keep them for my spare gauge cluster. The lens set you will get is still covered in the blue protective film. Left is stock, right is new. I carefully balanced mine as shown and heated the oven to about 140 degrees f for five min to curve them and then cooled them down to retain the curve prior to installation, DO NOT CLOSE THE OVEN DOOR AND LET IT GET TO A FULL 140, you are just warming the plastic to soften it enough to bend and then cool it to keep the curve. You could do the same thing with hot water. USE YOUR JUDGMENT AND COMON SENSE.

Here are the facts, Because of the material and setup labor the cost was set if I just had two sets cut and took the balance of material or had all 20 sets cut out of the material I had to purchase for the job. I am doing this as a "good deed" and a favor to other members to show my appreciation for all your help in answering so many questions. I am NOT doing this for the money, this is not a business. Even if I sell all 20 sets I won't break even, not my intention at this point. If your not easy to deal with I won't help you. (That was the point, no soup for you) I understand some of your concerns, paypal account, shipping damage, wrong part, etc. It all comes down to trust. Here is how the transaction will occur, 1, you will send me your shipping address and phone number 2, I will drive 2.2 mile to my local post office 3, I will purchase a padded envelope and ground shipping to you 4, I will write on the outside of the envelope the cost of envelope and shipping 5, You will receive the envelope and while opening it to inspect the lens you will call me and confirm arrival. 6, you will pick up a simple cheap thank you card or recycle and send a used card and add the price of the padded envelope, shipping and the $ then round it up to the next whole dollar amount and include it in the card, yes cash. 7, If you have any questions I will include my cell phone number in the envelope and I would be happy to discuss installation technique with you BEFORE you start. 8, If the unlikley happens and one of your lens are scratched in shipping just call me and I will send a replacement.(I'm only going to let 15 sets go so I can replace a scratched lens if needed. I am going to trust you by sending you the lens without money up front, This is the honor system, I have faith in you. If you decide not to be honorable I will wish massive bad karma upon you and because I am in the low voltage business your Chargers electrial system will be karma fried until your honor has been restored.

Ok, i'll take two sets. Heres my email gtxs72@yahoo.com I know putting the curve in them is no big deal. I dont do paypal anymore so if you send me your info I will send you a postal money order if thats ok with you. I hate paypal. Someone hacked into my ebay and also got into my paypal. The jerks at paypal did nothing to help me. My bank had to go after them. I cant believe paypal would let me hang out to dry after all the years I let them suck money out of me. They treated me like I was the bad guy when some scammer from Nigeria ripped me off for a couple of thousand. I had to close one of my ebay accounts and they would not switch the feedback history to another account for me. I guess thats gratitude for ya. You make these big companies money for years then they just kick you to the curb like unwanted trash. The sad part is you have to accept paypal through ebay thats their policy. Sorry for the ! It's good to vent, I feel better now

FYI, before I happily spent $275. just to replace my lens, I spent hours polishing the stock ones to make them look decient, then I bought some type of lexan or plexi glass and tried to make new ones myself, too hard to cut the round and angles accuratly. I gave up after spending a couple hours trying. spent hours looking on feebay and could not find them, finally just had them made.

I have been polishing them in the past myself. it's not a quick process. Then I paid one of my guys to do it. I had to pay him overtime cuz he did it after work. That cost me over $60 and they did not look as good as I would have liked. He's not as anal as I am. I was going to cut my own until I saw your post. I sent you my info. in a PM. Thanks!
